Tension / Trauma Releasing Exercises® (TRE)

A technique of fatiguing muscles around the psoas muscle (the emotional/trauma center of the body) to release tension and reset the autonomic nervous system to the parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) mode.

 

Transformational Breathing

An awareness of where breath is coming from and ways to change breathing to help calm the nervous system. It can be a powerful anchor for the mind during stressful moments, including panic and anxiety. I can provide your expertise in Buteyko Breathing (for Asthma, Sleep Apnea, Panic), Neurodynamic Deep Transformation breathing, to techniques to quickly work with symptoms of anxiety, depression, craving, and impulsive behavior.

Trauma-Sensitive Meditation

A practice of drawing our awareness toward a focal point, like breathing, sensory awareness or a physical object, to enable thoughts relating to one’s body and being. This allows us to witness how, potentially, our minds can be a source of suffering.

Trauma-Sensitive Forest Therapy (based on Shinrin Yoku)

A form of nature therapy, a broader term that relates to “forest bathing” or Shinrin-yoku, which combines a range of sensory-centric exercises toward relieving stress and improving overall health and well being. You will use invitations, senses, elements and sit spot meditations to deeply connect and influence your autonomic nervous system, natural killer cells, cortisol levels and so much more.
