An awareness of where breath is coming from and ways to change breathing to help calm the nervous system. It can be a powerful anchor for the mind during stressful moments, including panic and anxiety.

 

Emotional Freedom Technique™ (EFT)

A method of opening energy pathways that may be blocked or stuck, working toward relieving physiological, emotional and mental imbalances.

 

Tension / Trauma Releasing Exercises® (TRE)

A technique of fatiguing muscles around the psoas muscle (the emotional/trauma center of the body) to release tension and reset the autonomic nervous system to the parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) mode.

 

Somatic Experiencing® (SE™)

A form of therapy aimed at relieving the symptoms of PTSD and other trauma-related health problems by focusing on perceived body sensations.

 

Forest Medicine / Nature Immersion

A form of nature therapy, a broader term that relates to “forest bathing” or Shinrin-yoku, which combines a range of sensory-centric exercises toward relieving stress and improving overall health and well being.
